Robert Calderwood is a graduate of Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Bar of Ontario in 1997. Robert’s practice is devoted to the area of civil litigation, with a particular emphasis on employment law and commercial and real estate related litigation. Robert has significant experience in dealing with wrongful dismissals, construction lien and trust claims, commercial leasing and residential landlord and tenant matters, property/boundary disputes, debt collection and recovery proceedings and all manner of breach of contract actions. In addition, Robert regularly advises clients on work place management issues, including employment contracts, employee confidentiality agreements and restrictive covenants, Employment Standards Act compliance and severance/termination packages. In addition to having substantial courtroom experience, Robert has also handled files involving the Employment Standards Tribunal, the Ontario Labour Relations Board, the Ontario Human Rights Tribunal, the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal and the Assessment Review Board.
