Harry Herskowitz (r) and Elvio DelZotto(l) with the Ontario Bar Association's Award of Excellence in Real Estate Law for 2007 Each year, for the past 11 years, the Real Property Section of the Ontario Bar Association, with the support and sponsorship of Teranet Land Information Services Inc., has presented the Award of Excellence in Real Estate. DZ LLP is very honoured and proud of Harry Herskowitz in receiving this prestigious award, and we are delighted to see that his dedication and contributions to the real estate bar have been acknowledged by his peers. Some of the past recipients are Donald Lamont, The Honourable Madam Justice Hilda McKinlay (Ontario Court of Appeal), Sid Troister, Craig Carter and more recently, The Honourable Mr. Justice Paul Perell (Ontario Superior Court of Justice). The Award of Excellence in Real Estate was created to recognize exceptional contributions and/or achievements in Real Estate Law, by members of the Ontario Bar Association, in the following areas: teaching of real estate law; development of real estate law, including lecturing and scholarly writing; enhancement of the practice of real estate law; and leadership in the real estate bar and/or the Law Society of Upper Canada in relation to real estate issues and/or real estate legislation. |
